About MCN

microcurrent neurofeedback

IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback is an FDA-approved technology that helps the brain self-regulate its signals which is thought to improve cognitive function.

IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that uses gentle microcurrent pulses to help the brain and central nervous system self-regulate. It aims to improve brain function and emotional balance by influencing brainwave patterns, and is used to treat conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and TBI. The treatment is pain-free, requires no active participation, and many people report positive results within the first few sessions.

It can help the nervous system shift out of "fight or flight" mode and into a more balanced "rest and recovery" state.

Conditions it may help with: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and anxiety

How It Works

  • IASIS MCN uses a mild electrical current that is so small it is not generally felt by the user.

  • It communicates with the brain and nervous system through signals, which encourages brainwave patterns to balance and reorganize.

  • Unlike traditional neurofeedback, which requires active participation, MCN works passively by supporting the central nervous system's natural ability to regulate itself.

What to Expect

  • It is a safe, painless, and non-invasive treatment for both children and adults.

  • Some people may experience temporary side effects like fatigue, lightheadedness, or mild headaches in the initial sessions.

  • Many individuals report noticeable improvement within the first 1–3 sessions, with deeper and more permanent changes occurring over time.

  • The therapy is not a replacement for psychotherapy, but can be used as an adjunct treatment.
